Review – Moon Import Bunnahabhain 1964 The Animals

Looking to drink Bunnahabhain whisky in Singapore? This sample of Moon Import Bunnahabhain 1964 The Animals was drunk at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830. This sample was shared with us by a good friend.

What does Bunnahabhain whisky taste like? This Moon Import Bunnahabhain 1964 The Animals tastes like:

Nose: beautiful, classic old school juicy mango distillate, lightly alkaline nature

Palate: thick, neat and fleshy mangos, aloe vera juice sweetness meshed with thick fruit and hidden within, some light barby thorniness, akin to a lightly tannic white wine

What do we think of this bottle of Bunnahabhain whisky?

Splendid dram even at a lower proof. Old style Bunnahabhain, such as the one I tried from TBWC, That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bunnahabhain Batch 3 33 Year Old, have this delicious juiciness to it. Not quite like Bowmore, but definitely like older Laphroaigs.

Where can you get Bunnahabhain whisky by the glass in Singapore?

You can drink Bunnahabhain whisky by the dram from The Swan Song, there are interesting old and new independent bottlings like That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bunnahabhain Batch 3 33 Year Old and The Whisky Blues Bunnahabhain Staoisha 2013 8 Year Old.
