Review – That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bunnahabhain Batch 3 33 Year Old

Looking to drink Bunnahabhain whisky in Singapore? This sample of Bunnahabhain was drank at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830. This one has quite a story to it.

What does Bunnahabhain whisky taste like? This That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bunnahabhain Batch 3 33 Year Old tastes like:

Nose: light, thin, grassy, mango sweet

Palate: light grassy with an amazing mango sweetness that spreads across the palate and hits in waves. Finishes with a lingering coconut and grass jelly taste

What do we think of this bottle of Bunnahabhain whisky?

Immediate Comment: this is encroaching on the territory of the 1981 SV Laphroaig in terms of sweetness

This bottle has quite the funny story; a patron to The Swan Song who really likes Bunnahabhain was looking for new bottlings in stock. Arun hadn’t priced this yet and had just took it out of storage, and ended up telling me to take the first sip to test it since he had just drank something peated. The immediate comment ensued; amazingly fruity, words alone do not describe it well. Pity it is only a 500ml bottle.

Where can you get Bunnahabhain whisky by the glass in Singapore?

You can drink Bunnahabhain whisky by the dram from The Swan Song, there are interesting old and new independent bottlings like That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bunnahabhain Batch 3 33 Year Old as pictured above and The Whisky Blues Bunnahabhain Staoisha 2013 8 Year Old.
