Review – Sweetdram Knockdhu 14 Years Old 2008

Looking to drink Knockdhu whisky in Singapore? This sample of Sweetdram Knockdhu 14 Years Old 2008 was sampled at The Single Cask located at 30 Victoria Street Caldwell House, CHIJMES, #01-25, 187996. This bottle was shared by a friend of ours.

Nose: malty bready, spiced plums

Palate: spicy mint that tones down, yeast and malt, deeply grassy, salted veggies

This is a fun play on mint as you don’t normally find it with grassy, vegetable flavours. Its not peat, but it has profiles closely reminscent of it. Knockdhu does Ancnoc whisky, and I must say this IB bottling is quite a different touch compared to the 12 and 18 Years Old expressions of the core range.
