What does Caol Ila whisky taste like? This Scotch Malt Whisky Society 53.17 “Smoked oysters and lobster bisque” Caol Ila 8 Years Old 1988 60.6% bottling tastes like:

Nose: insanely perfumey sweet varnish peat with nuanced tones of ginger and flowers

Palate: tingly buttery textured firm mineral-style peat, with waves of butterscotch and fresh black tea leaves

What do we think of this bottle of Caol Ila whisky?

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic for a young whisky, the first time where the strong fumeyness doesn’t actually work against the sensory nosing experience and actually allows the enjoyment of the drink even more. Not just that, that bottle has a firmly complex profile with clear distinct notes. An extremely solid Caol Ila IB by SMWS.

Where can you get Caol Ila whisky by the glass in Singapore?

You can buy Caol Ila whisky by the dram from The Swan Song, such as the legendary Caol Ila 15 Years Old Bulloch Lade & Co. Zenith Import or the Taiwan market Whisky Age Caol Ila 2007 13 Year Old.
