Review – 002: Caol Ila 2008, 13 Years, 55.4%, Signatory Vintage bottled by Malt Grain Cane

Looking to drink Caol Ila whisky in Singapore? This sample of 002: Caol Ila 2008, 13 Years, 55.4%, Signatory Vintage bottled by Malt Grain Cane was drank at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830. This is not a sponsored post but we do enjoy other whiskies by Malt Grain and Cane so if you are interested, this bottle can be bought from online retail HERE.

Nose: sweet and grassy with a light peppery note

Palate: well toned sweet and grassy peat

A classic flavour, but at an intensity that is far and above that is normally expected. Caol Ila is slowly picking up on my list of enjoyable peated whiskies by virtue of how sweet they tend to be. Of course, in terms of complexity, I do prefer Ledaig.
