Looking to drink Starward whisky in Singapore? This sample of Starward Lagavulin Cask was drank at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830.
Nose: light fruity, sweet apple, toffee hints, candied grape and very spicy, mentholic nose
Palate: chilli, light hit of varnish, develops into a more spicy tabasco and warm apple pie, light but present plasticky toffee candy finish
For what was called a Lagavulin cask finished whisky I had higher expectations for the peat that was to accompany it; it tasted almost unpeated, but the Starward distillate probably brought with it more unexpected sweet notes.
