Review – Scotch Malt Whisky Society 39.271 A Barrel of Flowers and Fruits Linkwood 11 Years Old 2011 61.5%

Looking to drink Linkwood whisky in Singapore? This sample of Scotch Malt Whisky Society 39.271 A Barrel of Flowers and Fruits Linkwood 11 Years Old 2011 61.5% was drunk at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830.

Nose: odiously sharp,  musky vanilla, lightly creamy/farmy sour and fumey sweet

Palate: lightly spicy and warming/burning with a thin soursoppish fruity sweetness. Oaky sweetness appears towards the end

Quite a dominantly woody and farmy profile, we do think this is somewhat fruity but flowery? Unlikely to most. Still, not a bad and afforable drink.
