Review – Simply Whisky Secret Islay 13 Save The World

Looking to drink Caol Ila whisky in Singapore? This sample of Simply Whisky Secret Islay 13 Years Old Save The World was drunk at The Single Cask located at 30 Victoria Street Caldwell House, CHIJMES, #01-25, 187996.

Nose: stewed plums, light spices and minty

Palate: light and juicy, peat well balanced against a sourish, cherryish sherry in a backdrop of spice, deep charred joss paper finish

The oloroso finish was a magic touch for this; I have not enjoyed a peated sherry this much in a while, and this was quite splendid to say the least. Young, sprightly, but definitely delicious.
