What does Bowmore whisky taste like? Bowmore 12 Years Old Dumpy Bottle Bottled in 1980 bottling tastes like:
Nose: soy sauce umami, stewed apples, leaning to the guava
Palate: light bodied, tannic and dry, leaning towards the juicy guava, bit of grape stem
What do we think of this bottle of Bowmore whisky?
The Bowmore 12 we really need but cannot easy find; this puts the core range to shame, the fruitiness of this one and the complexity makes the 1-dimensional nature of the current core range 12 extremely disappointing. This old distillate, likely from 70s or possibly even late 60s, is extremely pleasant, and while the bottle is starting to get a little flat, still carries the flavour well.
Where can you get Bowmore whisky by the glass in Singapore?
You can buy Bowmore whisky by the dram from The Swan Song, there are rare and vintage bottlings from both the distillery, like pictured above, and from independent bottlers like Three Rivers Tokyo Bowmore 14 Years Old 2000.
