Review – Wardhead 1997 Michiel Wigman

Looking to drink Glenfiddich whisky in Singapore? This dram of Wardhead 1997 bottled by Michiel Wigman was drank at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830. This Wardhead is a teaspooned Glenfiddich, which is essentially a blended malt whisky made mostly of Glenfiddich whisky with a teaspoon of Balvenie whisky making it by definition, a blended malt whisky.

Nose: sweet and nutty, spicy and mentholic

Palate: savory sweet with a rush of old whisky apple flavour, with a touch of Glen Ord earthiness

The nose definitely shone through with Balvenie, although a more in-depth Glenfiddich palate came about. And most certainly not the taste of the generic OB Glenfiddichs, this one tasted like independently bottle Glenfiddichs bringing with it much more fruity character.
