Review – Talisker 175th Anniversary Limited Edition 45.8%

Looking to drink Talisker whisky in Singapore? This sample of Talisker 175th Anniversary Limited Edition 45.8% was drunk at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830.

What does Talisker whisky taste like? This Talisker 175th Anniversary Limited Edition 45.8% tastes like:

Nose: like a stream of charcoal smoke blown straight down my nostrils, with characteristic metallic-ness and element of vegetal peat. A deeper nose reveals strong sweetness of a rubbery grassy note

Palate: light and thin, but of a sour citric, good ash and charred wood, vegetal touch decorated with tinges of salt, but a somewhat empty finish. It just disappears

What do we think of this bottle of Talisker whisky?

While light, this is a fantastic Talisker that brings all the usual good qualities at the start but does not finish well. Good although pricey for beginners.

Where can you get Talisker whisky by the glass in Singapore?

You can drink Talisker whisky by the dram from The Swan Song, there are old and rare vintage bottlings like the Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask Talisker Tactical 26 Years Old 1974 and the Talisker 27 Year Old 1993 by The Hart Brothers. There are also original bottlings like the Talisker 175th Anniversary Limited Edition 45.8% pictured above and special releases from Diageo like the Diageo Special Release 2019 Talisker 15 Years Old.
