Review – Old Jameson Irish Whisky

Looking to drink Jameson whisky in Singapore? This sample of Old Jameson Irish Whisky was sampled at Get Some at Guillemard located at 100 Guillemard Rd, #01-01, Singapore 399718. This was a Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) event hosted by Brandon from Nanyang Whisky, a local independent bottler. Let us do our best to support local small FnB businesses as well!

Nose: sweet grainy, light pure malt apples, cucumbers, light spice

Palate: light bodied, thin sour and rubbery grapes, oloroso sherry-ish finish

This shows how much the eras make a difference – never would I have expected that Jameson would hold such delicious fruity flavours – not as distinctly fruity as perhaps a cask strength Cooley Irish whisky like Animal Spirits x Whisky Agency Irish Cooley Distillery 2002 18 Year Old, but still very remarkable. If only we could get this back today.
