Review – Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series Singapore Special Edition No. 4

Looking to drink Maker’s Mark whisky in Singapore? This sample of Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series Singapore Special Edition No. 4 was sampled during a private Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) event at The Single Cask located at 30 Victoria Street Caldwell House, CHIJMES, #01-25, 187996. This bottle is apparently one of 720 bottles of this series available in travel retail.

Nose: classic vanillic bourbon

Palate: classic bourbon

Yes. Classic bourbon. Not a joke, at barrel-proof, traditional bourbon flavours of caramel and vanilla are present along with a touch of nuttiness, but you can’t really expect too much variance from bourbons at this point. It’s not a bad drink, but there are other alternatives.
