Review – Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bottled in Early 1990s Japan Import

Looking to drink Johnnie Walker whisky in Singapore? This sample of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bottled in Early 1990s Japan Import was drunk at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830This bottle was available during a private Bring Your Own Bottle tasting event and is still available at the Swan Song, while stocks last!

Nose: sweet raisins, mellow grassy peat, honey

Palate: light honey and peat, rummy raisins-esque profile

Honestly, its still light, similar to the other Johnnie Walker Blue Label variant I’ve had at the time of writing this. But the rumminess or light tropical fruits that come from this sets it apart from any other old Johnnie Walkers I’ve done so far, and far and away from the modern bottlings, such as the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Angel Chen Limited Edition Design.
