What does Port Ellen whisky taste like? This Douglas Laing XOP Port Ellen 36 Years Old 1979 56.6% bottling tastes like:
Nose: motor oil and mushrooms, rich fumey perfume scents
Palate: mushrooms, fungi, soup, chewy vanilla, flowers
What do we think of this bottle of Port Ellen whisky?
Mama Mia if Mario was an alcoholic this is what he would want; quite literally a magical mushroom tasting whisky that would not only make you bigger but probably give you an extra life (disclaimer: what got bigger is probably not what you’re thinking it is and drinking whisky does not give you an extra life.) This has to be one of the most interesting Port Ellens I’ve ever had, spectacularly well fleshed out with clear distinct flavours despite rich complexity. If only mushrooms tasted like this.
Where can you get Port Ellen whisky by the glass in Singapore?
