Review – Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask Talisker Tactical 26 Years Old 1974

Looking to drink Talisker whisky in Singapore? I tried this independently bottled Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask Talisker Tactical 26 Years Old 1974 whisky, distilled in 1974, at The Swan Song located at 41A Boat Quay, Singapore 049830

What does Talisker whisky taste like? This Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask Talisker Tactical 26 Years Old 1974 tastes like:

Nose: juicy pineapple with thw clean, mineralic 1970s tone, with an underlying hint of fresh salty peat

Palate: light bodied honey with drawn out toasted, briney peat as it matures on the tongue, short lived finish with light spice with a crisp vegetal finish

What do we think of this bottle of Talisker whisky?

A splendid Talisker from the 70s, exceptional mouth feel. At the time of writing this, this Talisker has been finished already. Chances are, finding one of these bottles would be rather difficult nowadays. This is just one of the many spectacular independently bottled Taliskers at The Swan Song. Many thanks to Arun as a dram of this was a birthday gift from him.
