Review – Caol Ila 16 Black Friday 2022 by Elixir Distillers

Nose: muskier, white pepper spice

Palate: juicy fruity mango with interspersed peat 

Definitely a much more potent fruity palate compared to the nose, which came across as very harsh. Remniscent of the older, fruitier vintage Caol Ila and peated bottlings from Islay, such as Ardbeg, Laphroaig, and Port Ellen.
