Looking to drink Lagavulin whisky in Singapore? This sample of Cadenhead’s An Islay Distillery 2008 10 Year Old Warehouse Tasting Bottling was sampled during a private Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) event at The Single Cask located at 30 Victoria Street Caldwell House, CHIJMES, #01-25, 187996. I have it on good word that the distillery for this bottling is Lagavulin.
Nose: spicy vegetal sweetness
Palate: light, creamy, deliciously sweet in a spicy milkis manner
Initial remarks were that this is not a Lagavulin. The spicy, sour Milkis flavour profile is definitely an interesting one, as the sweetness is not typically reminiscent of your typical OB Lagavulins.
