What do we think of this bottle of Ardbeg whisky?
This is the legendary bottle; a bottle that is well kept in Japan by owners, and almost impossible to get outside. This is Arun Prashant, the owner of The Swan Song whisky bar, one and only 100 pointer bottle. What we can say is that this bottle holds a simplicity in flavour that demonstrates what the old Islay vintage style of elegant peat and intense, clean fruitiness is.

A short review on the tasting notes by a man called Charlie MacLean on Bevvy is available for perusal.
One thing that I’ve been told is that the flavour of the Ardbeg Mizuhashi is something you understand deeper as you drink more whiskies; it would be only once you have drank so much that you want to come back to the traditional roots of the Islay flavours that you would come to see the value of the dram.
