What do we think of this bottle of Ledaig whisky?
MGC’s peated whiskies always slap; the Port Charlotte and Staoisha’s were amazing, but this Ledaig is exceptional. Sweet ketchup peat provides a mix of tomato astringency and fresh fruity sweetness. This interspersed with a well balanced, lighter peat makes it an extremely interesting expression of sweet peat. Light spice in the chilli sense, but being exceptionally light, it rounds out the complexity of the flavour profile instead of overpowering the palate. Well worth the purchase if you opt for it.
